But you are right about the editing. Even if someone can do it, it won't be as loud as this is (without putting the volume at top).

I don't think so... I think their change was to try and stay relevant in the music world because after Hybrid Theory, no one really cared about them. Their new songs are just an attempt to garner attention for themselves. Hopefully they can do something with that and move back to the way they used to.
It's much like Mudvayne's new album "The New Game"... While they retain some of their stylistic elements, they have ditched most of what made their sound unique and so good.
