I also agree that it would be a bad idea to have teachers in public schools lead prayer for the same reasons you stated.
I used that scenario to explain the point that a teacher leading prayer is not the same as congress making a law establishing a religion. Witch is what the fist amendment says.
I think the founding fathers wanted to leave a lot of things up to the states to decide. Making laws in this area is one of them.

It looks like we actually agree on a few things I may have missed when you said that some people that call themselves Christians do not follow Christ. Those people I would not consider to be Christians.
I myself struggle when it comes to being like Christ. All Christians do. But there are bad people that have no desire at all to be like Christ. They can not be real Christians.

Not to say that all Muslims are bad.
Heres the deal. It is more likely that an Islamic person will try to kill you for criticizing his religion, than a Christian.
