Nobody loves complex stuff more than me, I appreciate musicians who can play their instruments more than anything. Im just saying I cant listen to more than one spastic ink song in a row, it doesnt keep my attention

Dude, this is very melodic but it's stylistically very unorthodox and not run-of-the-mill prog metal and the type of stuff metal ears are used to.

I LOVE complex time sigs and ryhytms but cmon, you need melody and good song writing sometimes. This stuff is great but I enjoy symphony x and dream theater more because they are more melodic

I think you didn't listen DT too much or you listened to the wrong songs. I like DT, and I agree and respect your opinion (about boring songs), but there are good ones...

I respect the fact that you are at least intelligent enough to understand the talent DT possesses. Some people will say they suck, and leave it at that. That frustrates me.
I actually like the compositions of DT songs, and enjoy listening to what they come up with on each album. I like to think of spastic ink as more of prog rock X (extreme). Crazy compositions, without much song structure. I enjoy listening to it, but not for 60 minutes. I lose touch after awhile...lol
