Great vid. I've played EQ for a little over 4 years and have an 85 Iksar Monk and a 81 HE cleric. The newest expansion is ok. It's a bunch of the old world areas made uber now. Have zone into a place called the void and there you will see Old Commons , Old Bloodfields, Field of Scale. etc. You can hire Merc clerics or Tanks. You get the lowest of each when you first come back but as you progress you can hire better Mercs. Check it out if you can one day. Holycow>>85 monk. (tribunal server)

I think what made EQ great was the sense of danger you felt from not wanting to die. You had to group with people and make friends for the most part. There was no instant gratifaction in EQ you had to put in time and alot of teamwork to get good stuff. Thats a turn off for alot of people now adays but thats why i think EQ was so succesfull. When i final made my first set of Pacthwork armor i felt like i accomplised something. =P

Great video, this takes me way back haha. I played with you for awhile in EHL snapkrackle, god that feels like centuries ago. i moved on shortly after EHL disbanded. But i really did meet some amazing people while playing the game. Good times.

1998 was beta..1999 was official release. and that was the original EQ, before the kunark combo.
