I'm an advertiser on Google too. A few years ago, I had my budget equally divided between Google and Yahoo and my the "cost per conversion" was similar. Now, with the monopoly of Google, my advertisement expenses increased 1000%! I'm sorry, but a monopoly is NEVER a good thing :-(

@panchitoturbo In my opinion, it actually benefits the small advertiser that google is a monopoly of sorts. If i know that all my prospective customers are going to be in one place (on google), it becomes easier for me to plan my advertising budget. If my audience is spread across multiple channels, I would have to break my small budget into smaller pieces just to be present on these multiple channels. That would only make my advertising less efficient and more expensive.

Great for her. However, it's not very healthy that she gets 90% of her business through Google AdWords. If a company depends for 90% on a service provider to run a business, we can not talk about free enterprise! Google is a advertising and search monopoly! It's time for real competition for Google!
